Private Gregoire Joseph

Born on 5 August 1891 in Bonaventure, Ontario - son of Maxime Joseph, Bonaventure, Ontario - at the time of his conscription in 1917: present address in Bonaventure, Ontario; single; Roman Catholic; trade as labourer; no current or previous military service; height of 5 feet 7.5 inches; chest of 39 inches fully expanded; dark complexion; brown eyes; brown hair.

Conscripted into the 1st Depot Battalion, Eastern Ontario Regiment, CEF, in Kingston, Ontario, on 11 December 1917 (number 4020087) - taken on the strength of the 38th Battalion, CEF, on 26 or 27 September 1918 - struck off the strength of the 38th Battalion on 2 May 1919.
