Private Abram Lawson Gibson

Born on 3 September 1898 in Glasgow, Scotland - son of Edward and Lucinda Gibson, Collingwood, Ontario - father was Corporal Edward Gibson, MM (number 642149) - at the time of his enlistment in 1915: present address in Collingwood, Ontario, trade as riveter's helper, single, no current or previous military service, Presbyterian, height of 5 feet 5 inches, chest of 34.5 inches fully expanded, dark complexion, grey eyes, black hair.

Joined the 157th Battalion, CEF, on 25 November 1915 (number 642149) - taken on the strength of the 38th Battalion, CEF, on 27 or 28 March 1918 - killed in action on 29 September 1918 - buried in Bourlon Wood Cemetery (grave II.A.12), France.
