Private Sidney John White

Born on 15 January 1884 in Plymouth, England - son of Charles White, Plymouth, England - at the time of his enlistment in 1917: present address in Detroit, Michigan; trade as machinist; single; no current or previous military service; Methodist; height of 5 feet 6.5 inches; chest of 34 inches fully expanded; medium complexion; blue eyes; dark brown hair.

Joined the Depot Regiment, Canadian Mounted Rifles, CEF, in Windsor, Ontario, on 7 May 1917 (number 226488) - taken on the strength of the 58th Battalion, CEF, on 7 or 8 April 1918 - transferred to the 38th Battalion, CEF, on 12 or 13 August 1918 - struck off the strength of the 38th Battalion on 16 June 1919.
