Private Albert Hill

Born on 9 August 1881 in London, England - son of Mary Ann [?], Chelsea, London, England - at the time of his enlistment in 1914: trade as general labourer, single, no current military service, previously served with the 8th and 11th Hussars, Imperial Forces, height of 5 feet 7 inches, chest of 35 inches fully expanded, fresh complexion, blue eyes, fair hair.

Joined the Canadian Army Veterinary Corps, CEF, in Montreal, Quebec, on 18 October 1914 (number 48557) - landed in France with the Canadian Army Veterinary Corps on 4 April 1915 - transferred to the 38th Battalion, CEF, on 15 or 16 October 1917 - wounded on 27 March 1918 - invalided to England on 1 April 1918.
