Hi, thanks for this great information Ken. Stanley was my Grand Uncle. Just a correction to the spelling of his middle name; it should be "Stewart". This helps with Ancestry searches, which I've been doing. Cheers and thanks again for this record.

PS, (additional info if wanted) as well as his sister Lillian Norwich (b.1886), Stanley had 4 brothers. William Gordon(b.1890), James Alexander (b.1892), Edward Douglas (b.1897 also soldier of the the 38th and Staff-Sargeant as have you listed on your blog) and my grandfather Albert Murray (b.1899). Parents were Archibald Harper (1865-1910) & Margaret (nee. Grant) Harper (1862-1908).

Dear Ken, thank you for publishing this blog. Rummaging through some old family photos and found some service medals belonging to Stanley who was my great grandfather. @Kevin Wray Harper, it was very interesting to read about his other siblings, and to discover a distant cousin. Sincerely, Nicole M. Harper
