Private Richard Wyndorn Sherlock

Born on 18 April 1889 in Logworth, Sussex, England - son of Richard Sherlock, Pasworth[?], Sussex, England - at the time of his enlistment in 1915: trade as farmer; single; no current or previous military service; Church of England; height of 5 feet 6.5 inches; chest of 32 inches fully expanded; medium complexion; hazel eyes; dark brown hair.

Joined the 51st Battalion, CEF, in Edmonton, Alberta, on 25 November 1915 (number 437998) - taken on the strength of the 38th Battalion, CEF, on 5 or 6 October 1916 - killed in action on 30 October 1917 - buried in Tyne Cot Cemetery (grave XV.A.20), Belgium.
