Joined the 212th Battalion, CEF, in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, on 16 August 1916 (number 261714) - taken on the strength of the 38th Battalion, CEF, on 16 or 17 February 1917 - killed in action on 26 March 1917 - buried in Villers Station Cemetery (grave VII.F.23), France.
