Private Lee Rossell

Born on 1 December 1890 in Vancouver, British Columbia (Kansas City, Missouri, crossed out) - friend of Joseph E. Johnson, Cedar Rapids, Iowa - at the time of his enlistment in 1917: trade as automobile mechanic; single; no current or previous military service; Church of England; height of 5 feet 6.25 inches; chest of 37 inches fully expanded; medium complexion; brown eyes; dark brown hair.

Joined the 1st Depot Battalion, 2nd Central Ontario Regiment, CEF, in Toronto, Ontario, on 17 December 1917 (number 3106222) - taken on the strength of the 58th Battalion, CEF, on 10 May 1918 - transferred to the 38th Battalion, CEF, on 12 or 13 August 1918 - wounded on 27 September 1918 - invalided to England on 1 October 1918.
