Private John David Rowand

Born on 29 August 1898 in Indian Head, Saskatchewan - son of F.W. Rowand, Regina, Saskatchewan - at the time of his enlistment in 1916: present address same as father; trade as student; single; no current military service; previously served with the cadets (three years); Presbyterian; height of 5 feet 7 inches; chest of 34 inches fully expanded; fair to ruddy complexion; brown eyes; black hair.

Joined the 212th Battalion, CEF, in Regina, Saskatchewan, on 28 June 1916 (number 261607) - taken on the strength of the 38th Battalion, CEF, on 21 December 1917 - wounded on 1 or 2 September 1918 - invalided to England on 7 September 1918 - discharged on 18 January 1919.
