Private James William Firmin

Born on 22 January 1895 in Norfolk, England - son of Mrs. Hannah Firmin, Norfolk, England - at the time of his enlistment in 1916: present address in St. Thomas, Ontario, trade as carpenter, single, no current or previous military service, Presbyterian, height of 5 feet 3.5 inches, chest of 36.5 inches fully expanded, fair complexion, blue eyes, dark brown hair.

Joined the 91st Battalion, CEF, in St. Thomas, Ontario, on 10 February 1916 (number 189984) - taken on the strength of the 38th Battalion, CEF, on 20 or 21 August 1916 - struck off the strength of the 38th Battalion on 5 May 1919.
