Born on 22 January 1895 in Norfolk, England - son of Mrs. Hannah Firmin, Norfolk, England - at the time of his enlistment in 1916: present address in St. Thomas, Ontario, trade as carpenter, single, no current or previous military service, Presbyterian, height of 5 feet 3.5 inches, chest of 36.5 inches fully expanded, fair complexion, blue eyes, dark brown hair.Joined the 91st Battalion, CEF, in St. Thomas, Ontario, on 10 February 1916 (number 189984) - taken on the strength of the 38th Battalion, CEF, on 20 or 21 August 1916 - struck off the strength of the 38th Battalion on 5 May 1919.
