Private William Jefford

Born on 21 February 1900 in Barnet, Hertfordshire, England - son of Susan Jefford, Shenley[?], England - at the time of his enlistment in 1916: present address in Little Britain, Ontario; trade as labourer; single; no current or previous military service; Methodist; height of 5 feet 5.5 inches; chest of 36 inches fully expanded; fair complexion; blue eyes; light brown hair.

Joined the 109th Battalion, CEF, in Lindsay, Ontario, on 27 March 1916 (number 724178) - taken on the strength of the 38th Battalion, CEF, on 4 or 6 December 1916 - invalided sick to England on 17 November 1917.
