Born on 23 September 1883 in Hamilton, Ontario - husband of Alice May Johnson, Toronto, Ontario - at the time of his enlistment in 1915: present address same as wife, trade as soldier, Presbyterian, currently a member of the Royal Canadian Regiment (for fourteen years, twelve years of which as an instructor).
Joined the 110th Battalion, CEF, as a Major in Stratford, Ontario, on 15 December 1915 - taken on the strength of the 38th Battalion, CEF, as a Captain on 12 March 1918 - killed in action on 29 September 1918 - buried in Bourlon Wood Cemetery (grave II.A.2), France.
