Joined the 168th Battalion, CEF, as a Lieutenant in Woodstock, Ontario, on 8 February 1916 - transferred to the 38th Battalion, CEF, as a Lieutenant on 19 January 1917 - wounded at duty on 30 March 1917 - killed in action on 28 June 1917 - buried in Villers Station Cemetery (grave X.D.1), France.
