Joined the 38th Battalion, CEF, in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, on 19 March 1915 (number 411091) - transferred to Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry on 17 July 1915 - [then what] - rejoined Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry on 15 March 1916 - wounded on 4 or 7 October 1916 - commissioned into the Imperial army on 30 July 1918 - taken on the strength of the 2nd 20th London (one month) - [resigned?] - joined the Canadian Machine Gun Corps, CEF, as a Lieutenant on 9 October 1918 - landed in France on 7 November 1918.
