Joined the 130th Battalion, CEF, in Renfrew, Ontario, on 15 December 1915 (number 788545) - taken on the strength of the 38th Battalion, CEF, on 14 or 15 November 1916 - wounded on 10 or 12 April 1917 - rejoined the 38th Battalion on 17 April 1917 - wounded on 26 June 1917 - transferred to the 2nd Divisional Employment Company, CEF, on 1 October 1917.
