Joined the 204th Battalion, CEF, in Toronto, Ontario, on 10 April 1916 (number 237469) - taken on the strength of the 38th Battalion, CEF, on 27 March 1918 - wounded on 10 August 1918 - invalided to England on 13 August 1918 - died of sickness on 4 February 1920 - buried in Prospect Cemetery (grave Veterans 637), Toronto, Ontario.
