Conscripted into the 1st Depot Battalion, Saskatchewan Regiment, in Regina, Saskatchewan, on 31 January 1918 (number 256589) - taken on the strength of the 28th Battalion, CEF, on 5 September 1918 - transferred to the 38th Battalion, CEF, on 21 or 22 September 1918 - died of sickness in France on 24 January 1919 - buried in Huy (La Sarte) Communal Cemetery (grave I.A.10), Belgium.
