Joined the 130th Canadian Infantry Battalion on 7 February 1916 (number 787654) - taken on the strength of the 38th Battalion in France on 5 or 6 June 1917 - wounded on 30 August 1917 - rejoined the battalion on 11 February 1918 - invalided sick to England on 2 April 1919.
