Corporal Thomas Varley

Born on 10 October 1884 in Bilston Staffs, England – brother of Mrs. R.O. Walker, Winnipeg, Manitoba – at the time of his enlistment in 1916: present address in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan; trade as waiter; single; no current or previous military service; Roman Catholic; height of 5 feet 4 inches; chest of 38.5 inches fully expanded; medium complexion; grey eyes; brown hair.

Joined the 128th Battalion, CEF, in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, on 19 January 1916 (number 781918) – taken on the strength of the 38th Battalion, CEF, on 18 or 19 January 1918 – struck off the strength of the 38th Battalion on 16 June 1919.
