Private William James Reynolds

Born on 25 November 1896 in London, England - son of Mrs. Emily Reynolds, Appleton, Ontario - brother of Lance-Corporal Percy George Reynolds, MM, 38th Battalion, CEF - at the time of his enlistment in 1915: trade as stove mounter; single; no current or previous military service; Wesleyan; height of 5 feet 3.5 inches; chest of 33 inches fully expanded; fair complexion; blue eyes; fair hair.

Joined the 38th Battalion, CEF, in Smiths Falls, Ontario, on 14 January 1915 (number 410180) - served with the 38th Battalion during its period of garrison duty in Bermuda - landed in France with the 38th Battalion on 13 August 1916 - wounded on 9 or 11 April 1917 - invalided to England on 12 April 1917 - later served with reserve units and promoted to acting-sergeant.
