Born on 4 February 1895 in Stratford, Ontario - friend of Miss Adelina Steppler, Sebringville, Ontario - at the time of his enlistment in 1916: present address in Stratford, Ontario; trade as baker; single; no current or previous military service; Church of England; height of 5 feet 6 inches; chest of 35.5 inches fully expanded; dark complexion; blue eyes; dark hair.

Joined the 110th Battalion, CEF, in Stratford, Ontario, on 1 March 1916 (number 727625) - taken on the strength of the 38th Battalion, CEF, on 26 or 27 June 1917 - killed in action on 30 October 1917 - name inscribed on the Ypres (Menin Gate) Memorial (panel 10-18-26-28), Belgium.
