Private Charles William Haddleton

Born on 23 September 1877 or 1878 in Birmingham, England - husband of Mary Jane Haddleton, Ottawa, Ontario - at the time of his enlistment in 1914: trade as brass moulder, married, no current or previous military service, Church of England, height of 5 feet 3.5 inches, chest of 34 inches fully expanded, swarthy complexion, brown eyes, black hair.

Joined the 38th Battalion, CEF, in Ottawa, Ontario, on 28 December 1914 (number 410069) - transferred to the 2nd Battalion, CEF, on 25 August 1915 - wounded on 28 April 1916 - [left the CEF] - later served with Section "B" of the Corps of Military Staff Clerks - joined the Corps of Military Staff Clerks, CEF, in Ottawa, Ontario, on 11 July 1919.
