Joined the 237th Battalion, CEF, in Montreal, Quebec, on 18 August 1916 (number 1933269) - taken on the strength of the 38th Battalion, CEF, on 10 or 11 November 1917 - wounded on 23 March 1918 - invalided to England on 29 March 1918.
