Private George Howard Grant

Born on 2 July 1894 in Charlestown, Ontario - brother of Harry Grant, Leyland Preston, Lancashire, England - at the time of his enlistment in 1915: trade as cheese maker, single, currently serving with the 41st Regiment (since 16 November 1914), no previous military service, Church of England, height of 5 feet 5 inches, chest of 34 inches fully expanded, fresh complexion, grey blue eyes, dark brown hair.


Joined the 38th Battalion, CEF, in Brockville, Ontario, on 5 March 1915 (number 410721) - transferred to the 2nd Battalion, CEF, on 25 August 1915 - wounded on 18 March 1916 - wounded on 9 September 1916.


Awarded the Military Medal.
