Captain James Glass

Born on 8 August 1872 in London, England - husband of Annie Glass, Ottawa, Ontario - at the time of his enlistment in 1916: present address in Toronto, Ontario, trade as soldier, Church of England, currently a member of the Canadian Militia, previously served with the Canadian Expeditionary Force (1 3/12 years), the Permanent Force (five years), and the Imperial Army (twenty-one years).

Joined the 38th Battalion, CEF, on 1 or 8 February 1915 - served with the 38th Battalion as adjutant during its period of garrison duty in Bermuda - struck off the strength of the 38th Battalion on 28 February 1916 - [returned to Canada] - joined the 204th Battalion, CEF, in Toronto, Ontario, on 6 April 1916 - later promoted to major.
