Joined the 249th Battalion, CEF, in Shaunavon, Saskatchewan, on 13 April 1917 (number 1069739) - taken on the strength of the 28th Battalion, CEF, on 5 September 1918 - transferred to the 38th Battalion, CEF, on 21 or 22 September 1918 - struck off the strength of the 38th Battalion on 16 June 1919.
