Joined the Signal Training Depot, Canadian Engineers, CEF, in Sackville, New Brunswick, on 11 May 1917 (number 2265762) - embarked in Canada on 24 November 1917 - disembarked in England on 7 December 1917 - taken on the strength of the Canadian Expeditionary Training Division in Seaford, England, on 8 December 1917 - transferred to the 7th Reserve Division in Seaford on 19 December 1917 - transferred to the 6th Reserve Division in Seaford on 15 February 1918 - taken on the strength of Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry, CEF, in Seaford on 10 May 1918 - arrived at Canadian Corps Reinforcement Camp in France on 23 May 1918 - joined the PPCLI in the field on 23 May 1918 - transferred to the 38th Battalion, CEF, on 5 June 1918 - wounded with a gun shot wound to the right arm and thigh on 3 September 1918 - admitted to No.24 General Hospital in Étaples, France, on 3 September 1918 - invalided to England and posted to the Eastern Ontario Regimental Depot in Seaford on 5 September 1918 - admitted to 4th South General Hospital in Plymouth, England, on 6 September 1918 - transferred to the Canadian Convalescent Hospital Bear Wood on 27 September 1918 - discharged from Bearwood on 9 November 1918 and transferred to the Canadian Segregation Camp in Rhyl, Wales - transferred to the 6th Reserve Division in Witley, England, on 14 January 1919 - embarked for Canada onboard HMT Celtic in Liverpool, England, on 10 March 1919 - disembarked in Halifax, Nova Scotia, on 18 March 1919 - discharged on 21 March 1919.
