Lance-Corporal Andrew Sorell

Born on 2 May 1886 in Currans, Ontario - son of Joseph Sorell, Cornwall, Ontario - at the time of his enlistment in 1915: trade as cheese maker; single; no current or previous military service; Roman Catholic; height of 5 feet 10 inches; chest of 41 inches fully expanded; dark complexion; brown eyes; dark hair.

Joined the 38th Battalion, CEF, in Cornwall, Ontario, on 26 February 1915 (number 410562) - transferred to the 2nd Battalion, CEF, on 25 August 1915 - wounded on 9 September 1916.
