Private William Timothy Quinney

Born on 16 August 1892 in Canada - son of Henry A. Quinney, Ottawa, Ontario - at the time of his enlistment in 1915: trade as printer; single; currently a member of the 43rd Regiment Duke of Cornwall's Own Rifles (seven years); no previous military service; Methodist; height of 5 feet 8.5 inches; chest of 35 inches fully expanded; healthy complexion; brown eyes; light brown hair.

Joined the 38th Battalion, CEF, in Ottawa, Ontario, on 22 February 1915 (number 410139) - transferred to the 2nd Battalion, CEF, on 24 August 1915 - later commissioned as a lieutenant.
