Sergeant William Burson McCuaig

Born on 16 March 1893 in Brechin, Ontario - son of Rosanna McCuaig, Orillia, Ontario - at the time of his enlistment in 1915: trade as compositer[?]; single; no current military service; previously served with the 48th Highlanders (six months); Presbyterian; height of 5 feet 7.25 inches; chest of 36 inches fully expanded; fair complexion; blue eyes; fair hair.

Joined the 35th Battalion, CEF, in Niagara, Ontario, on 26 July 1915 (number 135534) - taken on the strength of the 38th Battalion, CEF, on 8 or 9 April 1918 - captured and made a prisoner of war on 10 August 1918 - repatriated on 27 December 1918.
