Major Edward Rupert McNeill

Born on 18 November 1876 in Ottawa, Ontario - husband of Eva Margaret McNeill, Ottawa, Ontario - at the time of his enlistment in 1915: trade as broker; married; currently a member of the Active Militia; no previous military service; Church of England; height of 5 feet 5.25 inches; chest of 35 inches fully expanded; medium dark complexion; blue eyes; brown hair.

Joined the 38th Battalion, CEF, in Ottawa, Ontario, on 1 February 1915 - served with the 38th Battalion during its period of garrison duty in Bermuda - landed in France with the 38th Battalion on 13 August 1916 - wounded on 28 October 1916 - invalided to England on 3 November 1916 - seconded[?] to the Canadian Forestry Corps, CEF, in England as an acting Lieutenant-Colonel from 8 February or 18 August 1917 to 12 or 22 June 1918.
