Corporal John Kenneth McVey

Born on 10 March 1895 in Yarmouth, Elgin County, Ontario - son of William McVey, St. Thomas, Ontario - at the time of his enlistment in 1916: present address in St. Thomas, Ontario; trade as laborer; single; no current or previous military service; Roman Catholic; height of 5 feet 8.75 inches; chest of 36 inches fully expanded; fair complexion; hazel eyes; dark brown hair.

Joined the 91st Battalion, CEF, in St. Thomas, Ontario, on 4 March 1916 (number 190037) - taken on the strength of the 38th Battalion, CEF, on 20 or 21 August 1916 - wounded on 18 or 19 November 1916 - invalided to England on 3 December 1916.
