Born on 10 May 1898 in Vankleek Hill, Ontario - son of Mary Massion, Vankleek Hill, Ontario - at the time of his enlistment in 1916: present address in Vankleek Hill, Ontario; trade as farmer; single; no current or previous military service; Roman Catholic; height of 5 feet 4 inches; chest of 36.5 inches fully expanded; ruddy complexion; brown eyes; brown hair.

Joined the 154th Battalion, CEF, in Vankleek Hill, Ontario, on 28 February 1916 (number 633596) - taken on the strength of the 38th Battalion, CEF, on 24 May 1917 - killed in action on 10 August 1918 - buried in Fouquescourt British Cemetery (grave I.D.4), France.
