Acting-Sergeant George Edward Marshall

Born on 10 July 1893 in Washago, Ontario - son of Robert Marshall, Washago, Ontario - at the time of his enlistment in 1917: present address in Kingston, Ontario; trade as student; single; no current or previous military service; Church of England; height of 5 feet 7 inches; chest of 33.5 inches fully expanded; fair complexion; gray eyes; light hair.

Joined the Divisional Ammunition Column, CEF, in Kingston, Ontario, on 9 March 1917 (number 2043030) - taken on the strength of the 38th Battalion, CEF, on 11 or 12 July 1917 - struck off the strength of the 38th Battalion to England for Officers' Training Course and promoted to acting-sergeant on 27 October 1918.
