Private William Lewis Law

Born on 31 October 1880 in Birmingham, England - husband of Margaret Connolly Law, Owen Sound, Ontario - at the time of his enlistment in 1916: present address same as wife; trade as carpenter; married; no current or previous military service; Church of England; height of 5 feet 5.25 inches; chest of 36.5 inches fully expanded; dark complexion; blue eyes; dark hair.

Joined the 147th Battalion, CEF, in Owen Sound, Ontario, on 28 February 1916 (number 838904) - taken on the strength of the 58th Battalion, CEF, on 7 or 8 June 1917 - transferred to the 38th Battalion, CEF, on 12 or 13 August 1918 - wounded on 2 September 1918 - invalided to England on 19 September 1918.
