Joined the 1st Depot Battalion, Eastern Ontario Regiment, CEF, in Cornwall, Ontario, on 2 June 1917 (number 3055009) - taken on the strength of the 38th Battalion, CEF, on 17 or 18 August 1918 - wounded on 30 September 1918 - invalided to England on 14 October 1918.
