Private William George Fry

Born on 1 April 1889 in Swansea, South Wales - husband of Jennie Catherine Fry, Ottawa, Ontario - at the time of his enlistment in 1915: trade as carpenter, married, no current or previous military service, Salvation Army, height of 5 feet 8 inches, chest of 35 inches fully expanded, ruddy complexion, brown eyes, brown hair.

Joined the 38th Battalion, CEF, in Ottawa, Ontario, on 4 May 1915 (number 410274) - served with the 38th Battalion during its period of garrison duty in Bermuda - struck off the strength of the 38th Battalion in England on 18 July 1916.
