Joined the 59th Battalion, CEF, in Cornwall, Ontario, on 21 December 1915 (number 455820) - taken on the strength of the 26th Battalion, CEF, on 28 June 1916 - wounded on 9 or 11 April 1917 - transferred to the 38th Battalion, CEF, on 4 or 5 September 1918 - struck off the strength of the 38th Battalion on 16 June 1919.
