Private John Henry Chugg was the grandson of the first Chugg in Canada, Philip Chugg of Hull Quebec. John was one of three brothers to serve in WWI. Earl and Hector were also footguards. Their father was John Chugg. The boys returned home to Ottawa only to find that their mother Anna Ada Milks Chugg had died of septicemia the year prior. The boys are buried in Beechwood Cemetery.

Hello, this is a bit of topic but my ancestor Richard Chugg was from Devon and was transported to Tasmania for his crimes. Any chance that Phillip was a relative??? Got to be close!
