Private Norman Arnold

Born on 2 April 1891 in Wandsworth, England - son of Hurley and Elizabeth Arnold, Wandsworth, England - attestation form notes trade as fireman on railroad, single, not now nor previously a member of the military, height of 5 feet 6.5 inches, chest of 38.5 inches, dark complexion, gray eyes, dark brown hair, Presbyterian.

Joined the 59th Canadian Infantry Battalion - transferred to the 38th Battalion on 22 June 1915 (number 410674) - served with the battalion during its period of garrison duty in Bermuda - landed in France with the battalion on 13 August 1916 - wounded on 18 November 1916 and died of those wounds on 17 December 1916 - buried in Etaples Military Cemetery, France.
