Private William Felix Delaurier

Born on 21 September 1874 in Ottawa, Ontario - son of Felix and Delimas Deslaurier, Ottawa, Ontario - brother of Delimo Corrierre, Ottawa, Ontario - at the time of his enlistment in 1915: trade as labourer, single, no current or previous military service, Roman Catholic, height of 5 feet 5 inches, chest of 38.25 inches fully expanded, dark complexion, brown eyes, brown hair.

Joined the 38th Battalion, CEF, on 24 February 1915 - struck off the strength of the 38th Battalion on 29 April 1915 - joined the 77th Battalion, CEF, in Ottawa, Ontario, on 6 August 1915 (number 144334) - taken on the strength of the 38th Battalion in Bermuda on 6 December 1915 - struck off the strength of the 38th Battalion on 22 January 1916 - taken on the strength of the 47th Battalion, CEF, on 10 August 1916 - died on 24 October 1916 of wounds received that day - buried in Contay British Cemetery (grave III.F.7), France.
