Private William Russell Sollitt

Born on 4 April 1897 in Myrtle, Ontario - son of Priscilla Sollitt, Uxbridge, Ontario - at the time of his enlistment in 1915: present address in Peterborough, Ontario; trade as automobile repairer; single; no current military service; previously served with the 57th Regiment (three years); Presbyterian; height of 5 feet 9 inches; chest of 35 inches; fresh complexion; blue eyes; dark brown hair.

Joined the 93rd Battalion, CEF, in Peterborough, Ontario, on 22 November 1915 (number 195282) - taken on the strength of the 1st Canadian Infantry Works Company, CEF, on 8 January 1917 - transferred to the 38th Battalion, CEF, on 25 or 26 September 1918 - struck off the strength of the 38th Battalion on 16 June 1919.
