Born on 7 December 1892 in Matane, Quebec, or Fall River, Massachusetts - son of Mrs. Cecille Raymond, Matane, Quebec - at the time of his enlistment in 1916: present address in Arnprior, Ontario; trade as mill hand; single; currently a member of the 42nd Lanark and Renfrew Regiment (8 months); Roman Catholic; height of 5 feet 6 inches; chest of 35 inches fully expanded; dark complexion; brown eyes; brown hair.

Joined the 207th Battalion, CEF, on 12 May 1916 (number 246256) - discharged from the 207th Battalion on 12 November 1916 - conscripted into the 2nd Depot Battalion, Eastern Ontario Regiment, CEF, in Ottawa, Ontario, on 29 March 1918 (number 3320810) - taken on the strength of the 38th Battalion, CEF, on 26 or 27 September 1918 - struck off the strength of the 38th Battalion on 16 June 1919.
