Born on 2 March 1894 in Chandos, [???] - son of Andrew and Florence Post, Glen Alda, Ontario - at the time of his enlistment in 1916: present address in Glen Alda, Ontario; trade as chef; single; no current or previous military service; Methodist; height of 5 feet 10 inches; chest of 37.5 inches fully expanded; pale complexion; brown eyes; dark brown hair.

Joined the 155th Battalion, CEF, in Coe Hill, Ontario, on 11 January 1916 (number 636310) - taken on the strength of the 38th Battalion, CEF, on 24 May 1917 - killed in action on 30 October 1917 - name inscribed on the Ypres (Menin Gate) Memorial (panel 10-18-26-28), Belgium.
