Private Daniel Pollock

Born on 18 March 1883 in Glasgow, Scotland - son of John Pollock, Montreal, Quebec - at the time of his enlistment in 1915: trade as clerk; single; no current military service; previously served with the Royal Marine Light Infantry and 1st Volunteer Battalion Highland Light Infantry; Presbyterian; height of 5 feet 11.1 inches; chest of 37.4 inches fully expanded; fair complexion; blue eyes; brown hair.

Joined the 38th Battalion, CEF, in Montreal, Quebec, on 27 April 1915 (number 411144) - transferred to Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry, CEF, on 16 July 1915 - served as acting company sergeant-major.
