Private John Ernest Lyle Millen

Born on 12 August 1894 in Montreal, Quebec - son of John Ernest and Crace R.C. Shivas Millen, Montreal, Quebec - at the time of his enlistment in 1915: trade as advertising manager; single; no current or previous military service; Church of England; height of 5 feet 8 inches; chest of 37.5 inches fully expanded; dark complexion; grey eyes; dark brown hair.

Joined the 38th Battalion, CEF, in Montreal, Quebec, on 20 March 1915 (number 410988) - transferred to Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry on 16 July 1915 - killed in action on 19 February 1916 - buried in Kemmel Chateau Military Cemetery (grave L.55), Belgium.
