Joined the 154th Battalion, CEF, in Ottawa, Ontario, on 18 March 1916 (number 633870) - taken on the strength of the 38th Battalion, CEF, on 18 or 19 January 1918 - wounded on 2 or 5 September 1918 - rejoined the 38th Battalion on 12 October 1918 - struck off the strength of the 38th Battalion on 16 June 1919 - joined the Corps of Military Staff Clerks, CEF, in Ottawa, Ontario, on 7 August 1919.
