Lance-Corporal Alfred Henry McHugh

Born on 18 November 1875 or 26 November 1877 in London, England - husband of Florence McHugh, Seona[?], Alberta - at the time of his enlistment in June 1915: trade as plasterer; married; no current military service; previously served with the Royal Horse Artillery (five years); Church of England; height of 5 feet 8.25 inches; chest of 38.5 inches fully expanded; fresh complexion; blue eyes; dark brown hair.

Joined the 66th Battalion, CEF, in Edmonton, Alberta, on 30 June 1915 (number 100109) - [released?] after six months' service - joined the 212th Battalion, CEF, on 31 May 1916 (number 261504) - taken on the strength of the 38th Battalion, CEF, on 15 or 16 June 1917 - transferred to the Canadian Labour Pool, CEF, on 25 October 1917 - transferred to the 7th Canadian Army Employment Company, CEF, on 13 December 1917 - transferred to the Canadian Labour Pool on 26 July 1918.
