Sergeant Arthur Maycock

Born on 5 November 1892 in Warwich, England - son of Frederick William and Eliza Maycock, Coventry, England - brother of Charles Haycock, Imperial Army, India - friend of Bruce Miller, Tay Settlement, York County, New Brunswick - at the time of his enlistment in 1917: present address in Ottawa, Ontario; trade as contractor; single; no current or previous military service; Presbyterian; height of 5 feet 7 inches; chest of 37 inches fully expanded; dark complexion; brown eyes; black hair.

Joined No.3 Section, Divisional Ammunition Column, CEF, in Ottawa, Ontario, on 31 March 1917 (number 2043050) - taken on the strength of the 38th Battalion, CEF, on 11 or 12 July 1917 - killed in action on 29 September 1918 - buried in Bourlon Wood Cemetery (grave II.A.13), France.
