Private Mederic Leblanc

Born on 7 December 1894 in Mattawa, Ontario - son of Oliver Leblanc, Mattawa, Ontario - at the time of his conscription in 1918: present address in Mattawa, Ontario; "Defaulter"; single; Roman Catholic; trade as trapper; no current or previous military service; height of 5 feet 5 inches; chest of 35 inches fully expanded; dark complexion; black eyes; black hair.

Conscripted into the 1st Depot Battalion, Eastern Ontario Regiment, CEF, in Barriefield, Ontario, on 15 May 1918 (number 4021662) - taken on the strength of the 38th Battalion, CEF, on 10 or 11 October 1918 - invalided sick to England on 2 December 1918.
